Traps alone don't work if the entry points stay open — our New Haven, CT crew seals the building envelope while removing what's already inside. Rodents also gnaw on electrical wiring, which turns a nuisance problem into a genuine fire-safety concern if it goes unaddressed.
Our team is trained in structural exclusion work, not just trap placement — sealing gaps as small as a quarter-inch that mice can squeeze through.
We route technicians fast when a New Haven, CT customer reports fresh droppings, gnawing, or attic noise — those signs mean the population is active now.
The inspection determines a fixed price for trapping and exclusion work before anything is installed.
We carry snap traps, one-way exclusion doors, thermal cameras for locating nest zones, and sanitation supplies for post-removal cleanup. We also photograph every sealed entry point before and after, giving you documentation of the exclusion work performed.
Ground-level burrow treatment and foundation-gap sealing for the larger rats typically found near woodpiles, sheds, and crawl spaces.
Roof rats travel via power lines and tree branches into attics — we seal roofline gaps, vents, and eaves specifically.
Mouse control centers on finding every small gap, since a single unsealed opening undoes the whole job.
Rodent droppings and urine-soaked insulation get removed and the space sanitized once trapping is complete.
Exclusion work means permanent barriers — not just trap removal — so rodents can't simply come back through the same gap.
We service multi-unit properties on a recurring schedule with logged station checks for management records.
Describe the noise pattern and any visible signs; that helps us bring the right trap and exclusion materials.
We show up prepared to both trap and seal, so there's no separate follow-up trip just to bring supplies.
We trace droppings, gnaw marks, and grease trails back to the entry point, then map every gap needing exclusion work.
You get trapping, exclusion, and a documented follow-up — not just traps left behind with no return visit.
We'd tried store-bought traps for months. The technician found the actual gap under our deck ledger board in twenty minutes.

We dispatch New Haven, CT technicians throughout New Haven and neighboring areas, with particular attention to older homes and properties near wooded lots where rodent pressure tends to run higher. We keep an eye on seasonal rodent migration patterns around New Haven, which helps us anticipate calls before they spike.
Gnaw marks, dropping size, and even the sound of movement in walls all help distinguish rats from mice — the technician will confirm on inspection.
Trapping handles what's inside now; sealing is what keeps new rodents from replacing them.
We'd recommend waiting — disturbed rodent droppings can aerosolize particles, and our technicians use proper PPE and sanitizing agents for safe cleanup.
Most single-family homes take one visit for trapping and sealing, with a follow-up 1-2 weeks later to confirm no new activity.
We prioritize mechanical trapping and exclusion over rodenticide when possible, especially around homes with pets or children.
Accessible food sources, standing water, cluttered storage, and unsealed foundation gaps are the most common draws. It's also worth checking your attic access panel and garage door seal periodically, since those are common secondary entry points we find during follow-ups.
